This week we have a double guest slot for Meet the Team! We are lucky enough to have two research assistants working with us temporarily at York.
Diana Mogrovejo – MAEASaM Research Assistant
Diana is a second-year MSc Digital Archaeology student at the University of York. Since 2012, she has been involved in several archaeological projects in Peru (Incahuasi Archaeological Project, Chankillo Project, etc.) applying her expertise in GIS for field and data processing, particularly in database management (Access and PostgreSQL).
In her role as a research assistant within the MAEASaM Project, Diana is working on documenting archaeological sites from legacy data and published records of Tanzania using ArcGIS and QGIS software.
Ömer Güleryüz – MAEASaM Research Assistant
Ömer is an MSc graduate of Digital Archaeology from the University of York, who uses digital methods to solve spatial problems. He has 2 years working in a GIS-related field, so Ömer plans to improve his knowledge on exploratory data analysis, spatial analysis techniques, and modelling, in the context of digital archaeology.
In his role as a research assistant within the MAEASaM Project, Ömer is working on documenting archaeological sites from legacy data and published records of Tanzania using ArcGIS software.
