Social Media Coordinator
Ella holds a BA in Anthropology from American University and an MPhil in Archaeological Research from the University of Cambridge. She has conducted fieldwork at Early Stone age sites in Kenya and South Africa and historical sites in the US. She was a Koobi Fora Field School staff member with the Center for the Advanced Study of Human Paleobiology at George Washington University and a member of the Smithsonian’s Human Origins Program as the manager for an education research project focused on the teaching and learning of evolution in Alabama high schools. She is now working with MAEASaM on Social Media content creation and is looking to pursue a PhD in Museum and Heritage studies.
One of my deepest passions in my professional life is accessibility: from making information screen-reader friendly to highlighting engaging personal narratives often overlooked in museum collections! Creating connections to and from heritage objects has an incredible power to break down biases and allow for deeper connections across cultures!
Outside of work, Ella loves to do art, and enjoys making clothes and elaborate costumes.
