Developing new data assessment routinesWe delve into the data by assessing both the qualitative and technical aspects of site data entries to ensure that this information is consistent, complete, accurate and reliable.

Expanding the African archaeological thesaurus2079 concepts relating to African archaeology including site descriptions, relative chronologies, and landscape features are collected and continuing to be expanded. These collections facilitate the standardisation and searchability of heritage information in the database.

The State of Heritage in Sudan SymposiumThe MAEASaM Cambridge team organises a half day symposium on the state of heritage in Sudan and Memorial Lecture in honour of Prof. Ibrahima Musa

New award from ArcadiaThe University of Cambridge is awarded with a new grant from Arcadia. The five-year grant will enable the continuation and expansion of the MAEASaM project with in-country partners and collaborators.
