Co-investigator for Mozambique
Anneli’s research interest centres on socio-environmental dynamics; an interdisciplinary study residing in the intersection between Historical Ecology, Heritage and Archaeology. She is also interested in the intersection with present day debates and practices of sustainability. Another important strand of Anneli’s research and educational philosophy is student active learning and co-creation of knowledge.
Her research focus is on coastal Mozambique, Chibuene and the interior Limpopo National Park (the latter being published as a book titled Limpopo Life published by Routledge). In addition, Anneli has collaborated on several projects in east Africa and Madagascar and is the MAEASaM Co-investigator for Mozambique.
