Dana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Heritage Studies. She is a specialist in digital documentation and cultural heritage preservation, with research interests in exploring advanced applications of geospatial technologies for mapping and assessing the conditions of heritage sites. She is particularly interested in developing heritage impact assessment methodologies and managing risks to intangible heritage. Dana is also a team member of the Arial Photographic Archive for Archaeology in the Middle East (APAAME) Project.

Outside of work, Dana very much enjoys reading and walking.

My six years’ previous experience working as a Heritage Emerging Professional and Digital Documentation Specialist at the Department of Antiquities of Jordan has helped to give me a deep understanding of the challenges surrounding the discovery, recording and safeguarding of cultural heritage. I am excited by the potential of digital technologies to create innovative solutions that help us meet these challenges.
