David is a computer officer in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Cambridge. He has worked as an archaeologist in the United Kingdom for, amongst others, the Museum of London Archaeology Service and the West Yorkshire Archaeology Service. He has participated in fieldwork for the University of Cambridge around the world in places such as Iran, India, Iraq, and Italy. He specialises in the Use of Geographical Information Systems for archaeological applications.
