Énio is currently a Junior Lecturer/Assistant in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, at Eduardo Mondlane University. His specialisms include archaeological research methods, cultural heritage and sustainable tourism, illustration and informatics for archaeology, and the creation of databases through archaeological information systems. He has experience in archaeology and cultural heritage management, including survey and excavation at a range of sites in Mozambique, and has undertaken GIS training at Uppsala University as part of the Linnaeus-Palme programme.
I enjoy developing my skills in database creation and the integration of technologies for the digitisation of historical maps. For me, this is an essential tool in the field of archaeology and the preservation of archaeological sites.
