Research Associate/Database Developer
Manoj is a Master of Technology in Spatial Information Technology (Geo-informatics), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science & Technology. He has industry and research experience, mainly in GIS, image processing and remote sensing. This includes mobile and webGIS development, GIS automation, spatial database development and management, spatial analysis, image processing and remote sensing applications, DevOps practices and cloud technologies.
Manoj has worked with many government organisations. He was a Research Software Engineer in the Geographical Data and Earth Observation for Monitoring (GEOM) programme, which is an EU-funded initiative. He has also worked as a Research Scientist in the Department of Space, India, and previous to this, held a post as Research Associate in the Indian Meteorological Department.
I am passionate about applying machine learning and data science techniques in the field of digital humanities and earth science applications. My core interests are in software development and automation, and web and mobile development.
